I am Deputy Head teacher at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs and class teacher for Years 5 and 6. On the Governing Body, I serve as a Co-opted Governor. I have been part of the school community for 14 years, joining in 2004 as a part time teacher employed to boost the progress of Maths and English in KS2.
We have a thriving Drama group which I’m proud to be part of -our productions have included ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘The Tempest’ by William Shakespeare. Living, loving and learning together is something we all strive to do in our school.
I have been married to my husband Jonathan for 30 years and we have 3 sons:-our eldest is studying at Northumbria University, our middle son is taking a gap year before heading to Manchester University and our youngest son is in Year 12 at St Leonard’s Catholic School.
We attend St Michael’s Church where I am part of the Children’s Liturgy team. I sing in the Singing Group there and recently I became a Reader too. For many years I was a parish catechist for First Holy Communion: I continue to prepare children for this wonderful sacrament within school
I enjoy dancing, singing, reading, visiting the theatre, looking after our two cats and, as my class will tell you, eating chocolate!
